Production of Medical Preparations to Begin in Karaganda in 2012

Karaganda. July 18. INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN - KZT 68.5 mln. worth production of medical preparations (current rate: 146.03/$1) will begin in Karaganda (administrative centre of Karaganda Oblast, in the middle of Kazakhstan) in early 2012, as reported by the Karaganda Oblast Office for Business.

“The Expert Commission approved the investment project of Toka-21 LLP, a company that is going to manufacture medical preparations,” the oblast office for business reports.

According to the news agency, this enterprise was founded in 2008 in Karaganda and has by now a few pharmacies. The enterprise management said they were ready to manufacture a series of medical drugs. The planned finished-product output in kind will be 240,000 bottles of various tinctures and solutions per year. In value terms, the output will be 45 million tenge.

The total project cost is 68.5 million tenge, including the company’s own assets (18.5 million tenge) and loans (50 million tenge). These funds are planned to be subsidised under the first trend of the programme 2020 Business Road Map – Supporting New Business Initiatives.

The project has been approved and included in the Industrialisation Map under FIID (Forced Industrial Innovative Development) Programme.
